My apologies for the odd behavior of my site today. I’ve been working on upgarding certain features, and having silly problems getting it right (you don’t really need the details, they paint me in a bad, distracted-geek light).
While waiting for BrowserCam to load some of my screen captures for my web design gig, I decided to add Blogger comments to my posts. Should have been very simple. Was not. I ended up also enabling Post Page Archives, because that fits so well with the way their commenting system works. That should have easy, too. It wasn’t. Being distracted with simultaneously tweaking a site design, painting some props for my next gallery show pieces, and fixing this sites features, … well, let’s just say I forgot a few simple things and ended up having to re-publish about 12 times.
Geekery aside, I now have Blogger comments, Post Page Archives, and my freelance web design is actually working a bit better than it was before. Plus, I painted some pots. Don’t ask. Just don’t ask.
Unfortunately, enabling Blogger comments means that I have “lost” all my old Haloscan comments. I did back them up on my home computer, so I can always refer to them for reference. But I just don’t have an easy way to keep them directly linked to their respective posts. I’m sure I could do so manually, and probably will, just to keep things complete. But for the time being, they aren’t here. Forgive me. And please start commenting on my new posts. Blogger comments start working with the post after you enable them (in other words, this one), so let me know what you think!
