“For fun, I did the calculation on Shaquille O’Neal. He’s 7’1′ and 340 pounds. That gives Shaq a BMI of 33.164… seriously obese. Yao Ming, at 7’6′, 310, is just slightly more overweight than me. You see, muscle weighs more than fat, which means that the BMI is largely a crock as a measure of health.”
