McCain Chooses Palin as Running Mate.

Do the republicans really think that a female VP candidate will sway Hillary supporters to switch sides? An even scarier thought: is it possible that they would switch sides over this?

Grrrr. I hate politics.

This afternoon, the wife and I took another walk to the river. We had been meaning to do so much more often this summer, but things always come up and this has been our first chance for a couple of months.

We took our normal route there, but decided to walk south from 38th once we got to the river parkway. The path along the river was gorgeous, as always. It wound it’s way down and round and ultimately spit us out at 42nd, so we decided to take a different route home. This brought us past the Dowling Community Gardens. They’ve been around for 65 years now. We’ve seen them from the car before, but never up close. It’s amazing what people have done with this space. Some gorgeous flowers, veggies, native plants. It’s quite inspiring.

I took quite a few pics, but here’s just one for starters. I’m still weeding through the rest and tweaking them before posting.
