Mystery Monday

We’re back from vacation, and can I just say it’s so good to be home. We had a wonderful, absolutely amazing in countless ways trip (you can read all about it in installments at my wife’s site, or wait a little while for my account of the trip in photos), but it was long. I missed my cat. And I missed my house (and my own bed). And I really missed cooking (and thus knowing exactly what was in my food and not having to face a plate that held at least twice as much food as I should be eating in one sitting).

I’ve spent much time over the past two days sorting out the nearly 600 photos I took. I’ll get them narrowed down to a half-dozen or so then post them over the next couple of weeks. I’ll try to get the first batch, a sampler, up tomorrow. But for now, here is this week’s Mystery Monday photo.

No guesses from my co-vacationees, please. It wouldn’t be fair. :)

Last week’s mystery photo was one of my old brake pads, from my old mini-van. My dad “taught” me how to change them (by doing it himself with me watching), and then, understanding dad that he is, didn’t even look at me funny when I asked if I could keep the old ones. They made for some fabulous abstracts and texture shots.

Until later…

Well, I’m going to venture a guess, based on your asking co-vacationees not to guess, so I’m assuming it is something from Mackinac Island. And also based on a description from your lovely wife, I am going to guess that it is from the Island House hotel–possibly a curtain, or a bed treatment of some kind? Can’t wait to find out!
