Link dump for January 9th, 2009 through January 11th, 2009:
- What makes a great photo? – Good collection of insights from various artists, on one of my favorite photography blogs, Conscientious.
- Inspiring, and cruelty free, crochet art – I never thought I'd hear about a crochet artist whose work is began, but here she is. Her work is delightfully organic in its look, freeform, and quite inspiring.
- The eyeballing game – A fun time-waster. Test how good your internal spacial geometry is (or isn't).
- Christopher Lee reads “The Nightmare Before Christmas” poem – I love this man's voice, even if sometimes I get it confused with Ian McKellan's.
- When Jesus met Buddha – Good article on historical interchanges between religions, and how they were undoubtedly more positive than they are now. "Knowing other faiths firsthand grants believers an enviable sophistication, founded on humility."
Ohmygosh I did awesome at the eyeballing game! Overall score: 6.61!!! OK, so not as good as the people who were under 2, but for me, really freakin’ awesome.
