More fire…

We took a wonderful trip to visit family in Tower, MN Memorial Day weekend. It was my youngest cousin’s high school graduation (she was born just before I turned 16), so we went up for her open house. With the age difference and all, we didn’t see all that much of her, but that’s to be expected. It was a little weird to be sitting in the “old people” room, though, as a couple of us observed.

It was a great family reunion, though. My brother and his wife made it up, as did my folks, of course. We also got to see my grandmother and my other uncle and aunt. His sons all had other plans, but it was still nice to connect with them while we were there (over the years I’ve found that I have a lot in common interest-wise with that aunt and uncle, which is odd and rather neat).

I’m still sorting through photos and getting permissions from family to post them here, but for now here are a few pictures from the roaring bonfire that Dora built at the end of the evening. I had a great seat, never once having the wind blowing the smoke into my face. It was such a great way to end a lovely visit.

These fire photos are really awesome! I was hoping that you would share some of those. They’d make a great computer desktop or wallpaper too. Thanks so much for the lovely gift. I appreciate your creative skills! The grad party/family reunion was a really lovely time. It was nice to read your thoughts about it.
