This year’s CONvergence was jam packed for the Effinger-Weintraubs. My darling wife gave a great run-down of just how very much we did during our weekend. It was great fun, crazy busy, and rather epic all at once. We saw so many people and had so many things to do, it was hard to even take the time to think about it until we got home.
But now we’re home, and have had a week of work to recover from a weekend of play. (How that works, don’t ask… ) And I can say that it was by far one of the best, if not the very best, CON I’ve been to. And I’m not just thinking of the CONs I’ve been to with Eli. Afterall, I used to go to CON with the Js for years before I met my wife. (And it’s crazy weird running into everyone now that I used to hang with back then. Many of them don’t even recognize me after all of the weight I’ve lost, which I suppose is another post…)
So all this is my way of saying that with all the fun and all of the stuff we did, I hope it is understandable why I didn’t take a ton of pictures. I really should have, new camera and all. But I kept forgetting to bring it with me out of the hotel room. And when I did bring it, I kept forgetting to take it out and snap those pictures. I think there is definitely a place for good old point-and-shoot cameras, and CON is one of them.
I did manage to take a bunch of pictures during the T-Shirt Modification workshop we taught with fayde, birdfigment, and Katie. As did Eli. We just need to finish sorting and editing those still, so that will be another post. But for now, here are some photos from out and about at CONvergence 2010.
