As part of our recovery from CON, Eli and I took a little bicycle picnic to the Giggly Hills area by the river yesterday. We brought cookies from Fireroast Mountain, and sat about for what felt like hours (but was probably not). We danced around in a field of clover, watched bees gathering pollen in a sea of wildflowers, were visited by many local puppies (and their owners). It was a gorgeous afternoon, interrupted only briefly by a short rainshower. What a great way to unwind from what has been months of nonstop activity.
I brought my camera and took many photos, which will hopefully make their way into a SoFoBoMo book (Solo Photo Book Month, much like NaNoWriMo, but for photographers). More info on that to follow as I work on the many hours of editing and layout ahead of me (which is sometimes the most fun part!).

This is just one of those many photographs, of the sun shining down through the branches of a lovely, huge oak tree.
